Delegate Vote & Contribution Series (N°1)
Welcome to the ARK Community Fund’s new delegate vote and contribution series, where we will highlight our new delegate vote, and why we chose to vote for this specific delegate.
The ARK Community Fund (ACF), was created in 2017 to help organize and empower development around the entire ARK Ecosystem. Users, community members and developers can submit ideas to the ACF for funding of their ideas and projects.
The ACF is completely funded by donations and its own staking rewards. Recently the ACF combined their addresses into one Multi-Signature wallet. This Multi-Sig wallet is run by the current elected ACF Board. The ACF Board is 5 members, thus each member holds their own key. These funds cannot be accessed without a certain number of board members' approvals, ensuring security and decentralization.
In order to self fund the ACF, we need to vote for a delegate that shares rewards. Many know this as staking. The ACF has chosen to vote for not only a delegate that shares rewards, but also a delegate that contributes to the entire ARK Ecosystem.
This new series of blogs will highlight the latest vote of the ACF as well as the chosen delegate's recent accomplishments.
Today the ACF has chosen to vote for Delegate GEOPS.
GEOPS has a long history of contributions, most of which can be found here: https://arkdelegates.live/delegate/geops/contributions. But we want to focus on delegate GEOPS most recent contribution, called The Multi-Address Vote Monitoring Tool.
The Multi-Address Vote Monitoring Tool, also known as Core-vote, is a reward calculator written in python and working in linux cli(bash) by default. It can be added to cron to run every X minutes and has an optional web front-end. It tracks the votes of all your addresses in a single pane of glass and recommends changes if needed.

This handy tool is for delegate voters/stakers that have multiple addresses and multiple votes across many delegates. Helping to monitor all addresses and votes in one simple and easy to use location.
The ACF will be choosing new delegates to switch votes to from time to time, but rest assured, each new vote will be for a contributing delegate and a new announcement will be made. You can also see the ACF’s Multi-Sig Address here: https://explorer.ark.io/wallets/AcLmvE3fg41dJnpmAzP2tghatr8iiE2vj1
Or, in the spirit of contributions made by our recent delegate choice, you can use delegate GEOPS alternative ARK block explorer https://ark.geops.net/wallets/AcLmvE3fg41dJnpmAzP2tghatr8iiE2vj1
We hope this new blog series will help to inform the ARK Community of delegate contributions while showing newcomers the importance of voting for contributing delegates over simple profit sharing delegates. We believe that delegates play an essential role, as their voters also represent sub communities inside the ARK Ecosystem. In addition to development, contributions do not stop there. Videos, articles, podcasts, events, marketing or any other action the delegate intends to bring to life in the ARK Ecosystem is also 100% a contribution.
Before we end this first of many blog series to come. We also want to thank GEOPS for all of his continued contributions as well as all the delegates that are still donating to the ARK Community Fund on a regular basis, giving us the opportunity to fund projects, people, and work on bringing excitement to the community like the upcoming Strake Poker Tournament notably sponsored by the ACF, and our upcoming “ARK into the Metaverse” project that we are currently working on.
